Access and Equity Policy

The College Code of Practice includes an Access and Equity Policy, which is available on request. All staff are responsible for ensuring these requirements are met at all times and that all students have fair and equitable access to learning and support services.

Student Support Services

College staff are available to assist students with a range of academic, personal, and administrative matters.

Study Support

Students experiencing difficulties with coursework or assessments should contact the Academic Manager for assistance, guidance, or referral to additional learning support.

Counselling and General Support

Our multilingual Student Services & Administration Manager can assist with:

  • Understanding your study options and pathways
  • General health or wellbeing concerns
  • Personal issues
  • Referrals to external services (medical, legal, mental health, community support, etc.)

Where required, students may be referred to external services. Referrals from the College are provided at no additional cost.

Information Technology (IT) Support

The IT Officer can assist with general IT matters such as email access, LMS issues, login problems, and basic troubleshooting.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Support

Students requiring LLN assistance can contact the Academic Manager for support or referral to suitable programs.

Additional Support Needs

Students who require special or intensive support should contact the Student Services & Administration Manager.
If external services are required, the College will arrange the referral at no cost to the student.
Students requiring individualised learning plans should contact the Academic Manager.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) – VET Programs

Applicants enrolling in Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma courses who cannot provide evidence of English proficiency will be required to complete an LLN assessment before enrolment.

The LLN test assesses:

  • Grammar and syntax
  • Reading comprehension
  • Writing skills (descriptive or business-focused)
  • Listening to spoken and academic English
  • Speaking on a brief topic

The assessment is aligned to the principles of the IELTS band scale to determine readiness for study in an academic environment.

Students with valid IELTS scores who still experience language difficulties may be advised by the Academic Manager to undertake additional English support or ESL training.

All student selection processes follow access and equity principles.
